After spending many day researching led downlights to replace my halogen ones I can across the AT 9029. It ticked all the boxes. COB, IC4, high CRI, recessed, metal construction, 60 deg angle, dimmable, good warranty. Another bonus was the wider flange to cover and wonky cutouts in the plaster.
My electrician was impressed with this product and took photos to show future clients.
The installed appearance is exactly what I was looking for. They have the spotlight effect of the old halogens. Great for a moody effect.
I highly recommend this product.

This LED looks great on the spec sheet and it gives off a lovely light. However, the images and description fail to mention that it has a standalone driver that isn't IC-4 compliant - meaning that it needs to be placed on top of the ceiling insulation. For people like me who are unable to access their roof space, this LED is unfit for purpose.

Does what it says on the tin. No issues with glare. Adjustable angle gives some control when lighting position is already fixed (or if mounting on angled ceiling). Cooler colour temp balances really well with daylight spill in my use case. Good CRI aids webcam rendering in home office area.

We have these AT9029 COB downlights installed throughout our apartment. Experience has been mostly positive. COB format looks much better than SMDs. With a couple of these have experienced flashing of the lights (3 flashes followed by a pause, then 3 flashes, then pause - etc) I have not been able to find out what this means, and am not certain whether it is the lights or something about the apartment power supply. Howerver, they were replaced under warranty and have not had any more trouble.
We used the adjustable version for bathroom mirror lighting, directing the light from the ceiling onto the mirror and back to light face. Works well.
Make sure you get a trailing-edge dimmer if you want to dim.

I replaced all the lights in our new build with these Atom units. Very happy with the result: less glare, much better colour rendering (reds and warm colours look amazing) and the fittings are attractive. These are true downlights, with a 60 degree spread they don’t spray light all over the place - so bear that in mind if you are retrofitting.
