    Not for Plaster board

    This item does not suit mounting in plaster board.

    There is insufficient distance between the mounting compartment and the lamp outer rim.

    i.e. 76mm cut-out, lamp outer rim 80mm = 2mm each side

    Hi Peter, if you are mounting indoors you don't have to use the canister which means you can have a smaller hole.

    Terrible do not buy

    Terrible design fault, holesaw cut out only allow 1mm clearance either side for the downlight face and you can see the wall hole.

This should provide sufficient space to accommodate the Step Light without exposing the wall hole.     Stair lights that impress!

    We got these for our ageing dog ( us too) to get around at night. They work perfectly & look so cool. Really added to our renovations. Also beat price around.

    Rye Lights Review

    These step lights require a 76mm hole but the flange outside diameter is only 80 mm therefore there is only 2mm of cover on the edge this is a problem in plaster board , I actually made adapters with 95 O.D. to satisfy the electrician who was doing the install . Have now seen other online comments regarding this problem . A very neat light otherwise

    Design requires improvement

    Too little cover for outside flange. Hole cut as to be absolutly perfect for inner black cylinder, other wise the outer flange doesnt cover it
