The exterior design is great but the design of the ceiling fixing isn't. The fixture's swing out latches only allow for a 20-25mm thick ceiling whereas my ceiling* was dual layered, 50mm thick gyprock.
This required a lot more work. After cutting out the hole I then had to work out the area covered by the latches as they swing out and then cut a rectangular notch in the top layer of gyprock with a Dremel.
Even then, you had to be careful when installing the fan to not force the latches.
I managed it when test fitting the unit but the electrician wasn't so careful and broke one of the latches on install resulting in the light now being held in the ceiling by only 2 latches.
As a former lighting fixture designer myself I'd rate the mechanism 5/10 Max,
It doesn't allow for any variations in ceilings aside from single layer gyprock.
It should be redesigned with either a spring loaded or rotating cam mechanism to accommodate different ceiling thicknesses
