Normally would not be bothered with these review type comments but I think a couple of points need to be made. Primarily I purchased this lamp to sit beside a single bed so that whoever is in the bed (visitors) can read and put a light on during the night. I looked for a light that had a flexible lamp so that it could be adjusted to read. I already have a lamp in another room which in my view is far better and here is why.

The only lamp adjustment I got from my purchase is on an existing arc from one pivot point for which a spanner is provided if you want to change the light focus. My other lamp can be adjusted from two points which are flexible to go in any direction and you don't need a spanner to do this. You can twist the two points (one at the lamp head and the other point is about 200mm below the lamp) in any direction you want them to go. So from an adjustability viewpoint the lamp I got from you is not as convenient or as easy to use as my other lamp.

The other point I want to make is the on/off switch. On my existing lamp the power cable is external to the support post. It runs on clips next to the post. This means if you want to turn the lamp on during the night you can just reach out and the on/off switch is easily located on the cable about half way up the post. It is easy to find. The lamp I purchased from you has the on/off switch located on the floor as your cable runs inside the main pole. Whether you are supposed to try and locate this switch during the night…
