When an old flouro tubes died in my tiny cottage, I decided to see if there was a more modern, less power hungry replacement.
After a bit of looking around, I found that those supplied by 'The Lighting Outlet', were the most reasonable price, when freight was taken into account, so I decided to go with them.
Even though I only needed a single tube replaced, I decided to replace all five tubes.
The actual replacing, was a simple an easy job, and the quality of light is far better than the previous fluorescent tubes.

These are a great fluoro tube replacement. However they do need the wiring in the original fitting to be modified. For most people that means an electrician is required for installation, which is not DIY as suggested in the catalog
I purchased 3 of this type and found them perfect for my kitchen and master bedroom. The I g ht comes on instantly when switched on and provides excellent lighting for the kitchen and bedroom.

Fitting was simple and straight forward. 1.)Power Off 2) Remove Starter switch & fluoro tube. 3.)Stick warning labels where appropriate 4.) Fit supplied fuse into starter switch socket & supplied replacement LED tube into fluor sockets.
(There is a top & bottom side to the LED tube indicated by a longitudal strip approx. 1cm wide on the top. Works the other way but looks a bit odd.)
That's it - simple. Power on. Let there be light!!
