We recently installed the Mercator Exterior Lantern Post Top Light in black and couldn’t be happier with the result. The lamp post appears well made and watertight. I haven't seen any bugs/spiders or rain inside the glass over the last month. Its rained heavily on many occasions. It looks nice a night with a filament led bulb. I installed it by covering over an existing metal pole from an old lamp post with Pvc pipe from Bunnings. The pipe was the painted black.
