Our founder, Mitchell Elworthy, started The Lighting Outlet to solve a problem. Despite there being a number of quality lighting brands on the market, there was no simple way to find and purchase what you needed without going to a store, where the range was often limited. He found that it was taking customers weeks, and sometimes months, to find the lights that they wanted. Even then, they often had to settle for less than the perfect solution or pay above the odds.
Mitchell began working with Australian and international lighting manufacturers to make their products more accessible. His philosophy centred on three key things:

The business quickly gained momentum and we now sell an unparalleled range of brands and products. Our services have extended to include lighting design services and a trade/ wholesale division too.
