The Lighting Outlet offers a flat $11.95 shipping rate for most metro areas around Australia. If your postcode does not fall into this category, shipping will be calculated at checkout before you place your order. For all split shipments, an additional charge may apply - we will calculate this charge and advise you of it before proceeding.
Dispatch Times
We are committed to sending out your order as quickly as we can and dispatch on multiple courier services Monday to Friday. Please refer to the individual product pages for information on dispatch times for specific products as this can vary by brand.
Once your order leaves our Sydney warehouse, you will receive tracking information from our couriers. Courier selection depends on your location and the items you have purchased however we always seek to get your items to you as safely and speedily as we can.
Delivery Times After Dispatch (Approximate, Guide Only)
Delivery times vary by destination. Below is a guide on how long orders typically take after dispatching from our warehouse:
- NSW/QLD/VIC Metro 1-4 Days
- NSW/QLD/VIC Country 3-8 Days
- SA/TAS 2-7 Days
- WA/NT 6-12 Days
We work with trusted couriers to deliver your orders and, while delays in postage outside of our control sometimes happen, 99% of our orders arrive in line with the courier’s estimated times. Couriers Please, Star Track Express, Direct Freight, DHL Express & AusPost are the couriers we typically use for shipping and regularly update delivery information on their website.
IMPORTANT: Please do not book an electrician until you have safely received all of your goods to ensure they are correct, on time and not damaged. On arrival please check your order to make sure everything is as expected. If it is not, please get in touch so we can help you work through any issues.
Click & Collect
We offer click and collect from our Sydney HQ, and will email you when your order is ready to collect. Some items are available for same day collection - this will be listed on the product page where applicable.
PO Box
We do offer shipping to PO Box addresses, but please be aware that Australia Post imposes certain restrictions. Specifically, they do not accept packages exceeding 1 meter in length or with a total cubic weight over 20kg. Should your order fall outside these parameters, we may need to ask for a physical address for delivery. In such cases, we will contact you either by phone or email to make the necessary arrangements.
Insurance
Upon finalising their purchase, customers may select a protection plan which is based on the value of the order. The Lighting Outlet's responsibility for any breakages, damages, or theft is contingent upon the customer's election of this insurance option at checkout.
Please note: While all care is taken in the packaging and postage of your purchase, we will assume no liability arising from or in relation to any late deliveries, including expenses incurred for services provided by electricians and other contractors not party to this agreement.
ATL (Authority to leave)
If customer marks ATL is marked in the checkout it is at the customer's risk if it is lost or damaged in any way. We will provide a POD (Proof of delivery) from the courier if requested. Any orders under $200 will be default toed as Authority to Leave but this can be turned off in your product cart..
Extra shipping
Charges may be calculated on orders forfrom Tasmania, Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island, Christmas Island, remote areas or larger quantities. These will be calculated at checkout however you can request a quote in advance if preferred. We offer bulk pricing on larger orders and can provide a shipping estimate at this time.
International Customers
Orders must be a minimum of $200 for us to process. Each country may have importing taxes and , it is the customers responsibility to look into and manage their country's importing tax. Australia's 10% GST (goods and service tax) will be removed from orders. Orders must be shipped internationally for the GST to be removed.
Long Lengths
For package lengths 2 metres or more will incur a $30 freight charge on top of all costs. This covers the courier'scouriers excess size charge and thecovers heavy duty packing materials needed to send your package safely.
Promotional Free Shipping
Any promotions on Free Shipping are for the 'Free Standard Shipping with Tracking Number' method only. These promotions exclude any long length shipping fees, PO box's, international shipping fees or remote area's.
