* If you require custom cut lengths please specify measurements in the order notes at checkout.
* Custom cut LED strip is sold per metre. Each cut is rounded up to the metre, e.g. 2 x 500mm is charged as 2 metres. To avoid delays, round each cut length up to the metre.
* All custom cut strip lighting is non refundable for change of mind.
Slim top bend neon LED strip, 13 x 8mm, IP66 with CRI 90
This Pixel neon is a compact 13mm x 8mm silicone extrusion that lights from its top face. The strip, diffuser and housing are one piece, so there is nothing to assemble: you get a soft, even, dot free line of light straight out of the reel, with no hot spots even where the neon itself is on show.
Its slim size suits joinery edges, shelving, stair nosings, signage and lettering, feature outlines and architectural detail. The silicone resists UV, yellowing, salt and alkali, and is flame retardant, so with the ends properly sealed it is just as at home outdoors as it is inside.

Choosing a driver
Allow 12w for every metre and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 60w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 72w, which in practice means a 100w driver. Fed from both ends, a 10 metre run draws 120w and needs a 150w driver. For anything longer, split it into separate runs and feed each one, or keep the driver in the middle of the run so the cable is the same length each way. If you feed both ends, check the polarity is the same at each end. The 20 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. Outdoors, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover. The strip is dimmable with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and outdoor use
No separate profile or diffuser is needed. Fix it with aluminium mounting clips, or press it into an aluminium mounting channel for the cleanest straight line. This is a top bend neon, so it curves over and under (in the direction the light faces) rather than side to side. Keep any bends at a 60mm radius or larger. The neon is only IP20 until its ends are sealed: every cut end must be closed with an end cap and silicone glue to reach IP66, and outdoor joins should be made in a waterproof connector or junction box. Leave about 10mm of cable straight at the lead before bending it, so the joint is not strained.
