A straightforward colour changing strip for indoor feature lighting. With 180 chips per metre and 500 lumens per metre at 12w per metre, it gives a rich, saturated glow that can shift with the mood or stay fixed on a single colour.

Choosing a driver and controller
Allow 12w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run, the maximum length, draws 60w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 72w, which in practice means a 100w driver. For longer installations, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and give each run its own feed. Your RGB controller must also be rated for the full load of every run it drives.
Mounting and heat
This strip runs fairly cool, but we recommend mounting it in an aluminium profile. The profile draws heat away from the chips, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser gives the softest line of light. Choose a profile at least 11mm wide inside to suit the 10mm strip. The 3M double sided tape on the back makes fixing straightforward.
