CSP LED strip, 14.4w per metre, IP54
This CSP strip carries a protective coating that lifts it to IP54, so it can go where a bare strip should not: splashback zones, bathrooms away from direct water and covered outdoor areas. It delivers 960 to 1037 lumens per metre from 480 chips per metre for a bright, even line.
Use it for under cabinet task light in kitchens and laundries, joinery and shelving in damp rooms, or a sheltered alfresco ceiling. CRI above 90 keeps colours accurate, and the 8mm width still fits slim aluminium profiles.

Choosing a driver
Allow 14.4w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run, the maximum length, draws 72w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 86.4w, which in practice means a 100w driver. For longer installations, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and give each run its own feed. Outdoors or in damp areas, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover.
Mounting and heat
At 14.4w per metre this strip produces noticeable heat, so we recommend mounting it in an aluminium profile. The profile draws heat away from the chips, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser gives the softest line of light. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip. The 3M double sided tape on the back makes fixing straightforward.
If you cut the strip, reseal every cut end with an end cap and silicone to keep the IP54 rating, and make any outdoor joins in a waterproof connector or junction box.
