Choosing a driver and controller
Allow 14.4w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 72w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 87w, which in practice means a 100w driver. For longer installations, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and feed each run separately. Your CT controller must also be rated for the full load of the run. The 30 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting.
Mounting and heat
This strip must be installed on an aluminium heat dissipating surface for warranty purposes, and an aluminium profile does that job while protecting the strip and extending its life. Choose a profile at least 11mm wide inside to suit the 10mm strip, and add a diffuser for the softest line of light.
IP20 rated for dry indoor locations only.
