LED sheet for backlighting, 36w per sheet, IP20
An LED sheet spreads 162 LEDs across a 240mm by 480mm panel to give an even field of light rather than a single line. It is made for backlighting: onyx and translucent stone, light boxes, backlit signage, bar fronts and display panels, where any dark gaps or hot spots would show through.
Each sheet puts out up to 3615 lumens, can be cut between any LED to fit an irregular shape, and links to the next sheet with the small cable supplied, so you can cover larger areas with up to 7 sheets in a chain. CRI above 90 keeps stone and printed graphics looking true.

Choosing a driver
Allow 36w for every sheet and add about 20% headroom. A single sheet needs a 24v driver of at least 43.2w, so a 60w driver. A full chain of 7 sheets draws 252w, which with headroom is more than a 300w driver can comfortably supply, so split larger areas into smaller chains, each with its own feed: for example 4 sheets (144w) on a 200w driver and 3 sheets (108w) on a 150w driver.
Mounting and heat
Fix the sheet to a flat, clean surface with the 3M double sided tape on the back; a metal backing panel helps draw heat away from the LEDs and extends their life. For the most even backlight, leave space between the sheet and the diffusing face so the individual LEDs blend together.
