CSP LED strip, 4.8w per metre, IP54
This low output CSP strip packs 480 chip scale LEDs into every metre, so the line of light stays even and soft rather than spotty. At 4.8w per metre it is made for gentle accent work: toe kicks, shelf edges, handrail and step details, and backlighting where you want a glow rather than a floodlight.
A light IP54 coating protects it from dust and splashes, which makes it a practical pick for bathrooms, laundries and covered outdoor areas. CRI above 90 keeps timber, tile and paint colours looking true.

Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so a 30w 24v driver covers it. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and give each run its own feed. Outdoors or in damp areas, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover.
Mounting and heat
We recommend mounting the strip in an aluminium profile. The profile draws heat away from the LEDs, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser gives the softest line of light. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip. The 3M backing sticks it straight into the channel.
IP54 rated, so it suits damp and sheltered locations such as covered outdoor areas.
