Dotless COB LED strip, 4.8w per metre, 50 metre roll
A 50 metre roll of slim 8mm COB strip for bigger jobs: multi room fitouts, commercial joinery, retail shelving or several projects at once. It comes with 25 crimp on connectors with 1 metre tails, so you can make up and feed multiple runs without sourcing connectors separately.
320 COB chips per metre give a smooth, dot free line with no hotspots, in warm 3000k, neutral 4000k or crisp 5500k. Cut it every 50mm to suit each run.

Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so each run needs a 24v driver of at least 29w, which in practice means a 30w driver. Cut the roll into runs of 5 metres or less and give each run its own feed; the supplied crimp connectors make that straightforward. The roll is one continuous reel, so plan every run before you start cutting.
Mounting and heat
The warranty requires this strip to be installed on an aluminium heat dissipating surface, so mount each run in an aluminium profile. The profile protects the strip, carries heat away from the chips and extends its life, and a diffuser can soften the line further. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip.
