Description:
Ten millimetres deep. That is the number that decides whether this fitting works for you, because it means the light recesses into the underside of a cabinet or a shelf without eating the storage space above it. A 60mm cutout and a 70mm face keep it discreet once installed, and the frosted glass front spreads the output evenly rather than dropping a hot spot onto the benchtop.
It runs on 12v and draws 2w from a CREE chip, giving 82lm at 3000k. That is a warm, modest output designed for display cabinets, glass shelving, under bench and toe kick lighting, not for lighting a room. Several in a row is the normal approach. Colour rendering sits above Ra80, so timber, glassware and food look right rather than flat, and the low heat matters when the fitting is sitting a few centimetres from whatever it is lighting.
Two things to plan for. It is not dimmable, so put the circuit on a plain switch. And it ships without a driver, so you will need a 12v constant voltage driver sized to the total wattage of the run, purchased separately. Available in white or silver. A licensed electrician is required to install it.
