* If you require custom cut lengths please specify measurements in the order notes at checkout.
* Custom cut LED strip is sold per metre. Each cut is rounded up to the metre, e.g. 2 x 500mm is charged as 2 metres. To avoid delays, round each cut length up to the metre.
* All custom cut strip lighting is non refundable for change of mind.
Ultra slim 3mm COB LED strip, 7w per metre
At just 3mm wide, this is the slimmest strip in the Pixel range. It fits where standard 8mm and 10mm strips simply won't: inside glass shelf edges, thin joinery reveals, display cabinets, picture frames, mirror surrounds and miniature profiles. The COB construction gives a continuous, dot free line of light, so even a tiny slot reads as one clean glowing line.
Despite its size it puts out up to 679 lumens per metre, enough for display and accent lighting with real presence. CRI 90 colour rendering keeps timber, stone, artwork and products looking true to life.

Choosing a driver
Allow 7w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 4 metre run draws 28w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 34w, which in practice means a 50w driver. Because this slim strip carries current on a very narrow PCB, keep each run to 4 metres or less and feed every run separately. Several runs can share one driver as long as each has its own feed and the total load stays within the driver's rating: a full 10 metre roll split into three runs draws 70w, so a 100w driver covers it. The 10 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and heat
We recommend mounting this strip in an aluminium profile wherever it fits. The profile draws heat away from the chips, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser gives the softest line of light. Any profile at least 4mm wide inside will take the 3mm strip, so it suits the smallest micro profiles. Where there is no room for a profile, the 3M backing works on clean, dry, smooth surfaces, ideally metal. The minimum bend radius is 30mm.
