CSP LED strip, 9.6w per metre, IP54
This CSP strip pairs a useful 9.6w per metre output with a protective IP54 coating, so it can light bathrooms, laundries, splashbacks and covered alfresco areas where moisture and dust would shorten the life of an uncoated tape. 480 chip scale LEDs per metre keep the line even and smooth.
With up to 798 lumens per metre it is bright enough for task lighting under cabinets and vanity mirrors, and CRI above 90 means skin tones, tiles and finishes look as they should.

Choosing a driver
Allow 9.6w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 48w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 58w, which means a 60w driver in practice. Split longer installs into runs of 5 metres or less with their own feed. Outdoors or in damp areas, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover.
Mounting and heat
Mount the strip in an aluminium profile to draw heat away from the LEDs, protect the coating and extend its life. Add a diffuser for the softest line of light. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip.
IP54 rated, so it suits damp and sheltered locations such as covered outdoor areas.
