A fabric shade in a flax colour, 300mm across and 500mm tall, so it is noticeably taller than it is wide. That proportion suits a lower hung pendant beside a bed or over a narrow console, where a wide drum shade would feel bulky.

Behind the linen sit spiralling cane ribs, and they show through faintly once the light is on. It is a small detail, but it stops the shade reading as plain fabric and gives it some warmth and structure.

It fits most hanging cord sets and it is a straightforward do it yourself job. Swapping a shade onto an existing pendant does not require an electrician. Globes are not included, and the shade is rated to 40w.
