Description:
Garden lighting almost never fails at the light. It fails at the joins, where bare copper meets damp soil and slowly corrodes until the run goes dark. This connector is the fix for that, and it is why a low voltage garden run either lasts a decade or dies in a season.
The body is packed with a protective gel. When you close the connector onto the cable, the gel is forced around the conductors and seals them off from moisture, so the join stays dry even sitting in wet mulch. There is no stripping, no twisting and no tape involved, which also means no two installers get a different result.
Use two per connection, one on each conductor. They suit AC and DC garden light installations running at 12V and are made for the figure 8 cable used on low voltage garden runs. Because they are quick to fit, they are also the practical choice when you want to extend a run later or drop another spike light into an existing bed.
Each connector is 25mm by 25mm, in clear and blue so you can see the gel is properly seated. Small part, but the one that decides whether the garden is still lit next winter.
