Description:
The white sleeve that turns a bare chandelier lamp holder into a candle. It slides down over the holder and hides the wiring, the brass and the bakelite, leaving a clean white column with a moulded drip detail running down the outside.
These are usually a repair item rather than a first purchase. Chandelier candle covers yellow, crack at the top edge, or go missing entirely when a fitting is moved house, and one damaged cover on an otherwise good chandelier is the first thing anyone notices. Replacing all of them at once is worth doing, since a single new cover next to five aged ones is more obvious than five aged ones on their own.
It is moulded in acrylic with an off white finish, in the candle drip style that suits traditional and period chandeliers. At 100mm long it covers a standard holder with a little candle showing above the arm, which is the proportion that reads correctly from below.
Check the inner diameter before ordering. This one is 27mm inside, and a cover that is too tight will not seat down over the holder while one that is too loose will sit crooked on the arm. Measure the holder on your own fitting first. Sold individually, so count the arms on the chandelier.
