Dark brown is the useful part here. Most woven shades arrive in pale natural tones that read as coastal by default, and this one does not. The deeper colour lets the same handmade texture sit comfortably in a room with darker timber, black joinery or a warmer, more layered palette.
The weave is open rather than tight, so light escapes through the sides as well as the ends. Pair it with a filament globe and you get visible sparkle through the gaps. Pair it with an opal globe and the shade reads as a solid silhouette with a soft glow around it. Both are worth considering before you buy the globe.
