A linear pendant is the standard answer above a long island or a rectangular dining table, and most of them are a plain extruded bar. The difference here is the twist. The aluminium body spirals along its length, so the profile changes as you move around it and the opal edge catches light at a different angle from each side. Seen end on it is slim; seen from the side it has depth.
At 1200mm it is sized for a genuine island bench or a table seating six to eight, where a single round pendant would look lost and three small ones would look busy. Only 50mm deep, so it does not block sightlines across an open plan kitchen.
The colour temperature is selected at installation rather than fixed at the factory, with 3000K, 4000K and 5000K available. Talk to your electrician about it on the day, because it is the one decision that is awkward to change later. 3000K suits a dining setting, 4000K is the usual pick for a working kitchen, and 5000K is bright task light.
It produces 1800 lumens from 29w with a CRI above Ra85, and it dims with an LED friendly dimmer, which is worth wiring in if the same bench serves as both a work surface and a dining table. The LED is integrated, so there is no globe to buy.
