Description:
A chain suspension rather than a plain cord, which changes the character of whatever you hang from it. Decorative chain links run from a 110mm canopy down to the lampholder, with black cloth covered cable threaded alongside and classic embellishments at the fittings.
The practical difference is weight and rigidity. A cord suspension hangs limp and moves in a draught. A chain holds its line, sits still, and comfortably carries a heavier metal shade without the cable taking the load. That is why chain is the traditional choice for larger industrial shades and for anywhere with air movement, such as a stairwell or a high ceiling above a heater.
It is sold as a suspension only, so the shade is your decision. It pairs with our range of metal industrial vintage shades, or you can leave it bare with a decorative filament globe or a bulb cage for a stripped back look.
Antique brass reads warm and traditional against timber and brick. Matt black is the quieter, more modern option. The cord length is 1500mm, and the whole assembly weighs 0.5kg.
It runs on 240V with a standard E27 lampholder rated to 60W, LED and CFL ready. Globes are not included, and a licensed electrician is required for installation.
