Black metalware and a matt opal glass shade, in a shape that has been around long enough to stop looking like a trend. That is the argument for it: the styling is classic rather than current, so it works in a period home, a plain modern room and everything in between.

Poor quality lamp
This is constructed cheaply. The base plate had not been glued correctly to allow the stem to screw in and needed to be broken and re-glued. It isn’t straight either.
