A textured matt ceramic base under an off white poly-cotton shade. Matt rather than gloss is the deciding detail: it absorbs light instead of bouncing it, so the texture in the ceramic shows up properly and the lamp looks more expensive than it is.

Four colours are offered. The blue is a bright teal and is the one that gets noticed; grey, taupe and white are the quiet options if the lamp needs to sit inside an existing scheme rather than change it. All four use the same off white shade, so a mixed pair still reads as a set.

At 470mm tall with a 240mm shade it is a proper bedside lamp, tall enough to put light on a book rather than on the tabletop. The shade sits on a 43mm ring and the on/off switch is on the 1200mm white cord.
