Matt painted steel and blonde timber, which the trade calls Scandustrial and everyone else just calls a good desk lamp. The metalware carries the structure and the timber softens it, and the result works on a home office desk without looking like office equipment.
The proportions are sensible. 420mm tall, a 150mm base and a 130mm head that projects 180mm, so it lights a keyboard and a notepad without hanging over the whole desk. The steel base is 40mm thick and weighted enough to stay put.
The E27 globe base is worth calling out. Many desk lamps use a small fitting that limits your choice. This one takes a standard household globe up to 42w, so you can put in whatever warm white LED you already buy for the rest of the house.
On and off is a cordline switch on the 1600mm black cord.
Black or white, both with the same timber detail. Black disappears against a dark desk, while white keeps a small room feeling open. Indoor use, and the globe is not supplied.
