Description:
Faux crystal glass on a chrome frame, sized at 190mm across and 220mm deep. The point of a fitting like this is what it does to the ceiling around it. Light passing through the cut faces throws a pattern outward, so the fixture lights the room and decorates the surface it is mounted on at the same time.
The real appeal is how it goes up. This is a batten fix, which means it screws directly onto the plain bayonet batten holder you already have, of the type left behind in most bedrooms and hallways by the builder. There is no rewiring, no new circuit and no electrician callout for the change. Switch off at the board, unscrew the old cover, fit this one.
That makes it one of the cheapest ways to lift a room that still has a bare batten or a builder grade oyster. It is worth doing in bedrooms, a hallway, a walk in robe or a small entry, and it costs a fraction of a hardwired replacement.
It can also be hung from a B22 suspension if you would rather it sat lower as a pendant. It takes a standard bayonet globe up to 60W on 240V, LED and CFL ready, and it is rated for domestic use. Globes are not included.
