An embossed geometric pattern pressed into a glossy ceramic base, topped with an off white poly-cotton shade. The gloss finish is what makes the colours sing: light catches the raised pattern and the colour reads deeper in the recesses than on the high points.

Six colours are available and none of them are timid. The coffee is a rich mocha brown. The green is almost teal and very strong. The pink is properly retro rather than pastel. The yellow is closer to mustard than lemon. Grey and white are there if you want the pattern without the colour statement.

At 380mm tall and 180mm across it is bedside sized, which is exactly where a lamp like this belongs. It is small enough to introduce a bold colour into a room without committing to it, and a pair either side of a bed makes a much stronger impression than one on its own. The on/off switch is on the 1200mm cord. It takes one E14 globe up to 40W, not included, on a 28mm shade ring.
