The Coolabah pairs a 10W monocrystalline solar panel with an 8,000mAh lithium battery and a 615mm, 180,LED batten, so a shed, campsite, caravan awning or chicken coop gets usable light instead of a torch propped on a shelf. Up to 12 hours of run time on a full charge, depending on the brightness setting and the weather.
No wiring, no electrician, no power bill
The panel does all the work. Mount it in the sun, run the included 5,metre waterproof cable through to wherever the light needs to go, and it recharges itself every day. Because nothing connects to mains power there is no switchboard work and no electrician required, which makes it a straightforward fix for a shed at the back of the block, a stable, or a garage that was never wired.
USB,C charging for a run of grey days
Solar is the primary charge, but the built,in USB,C port covers a cloudy week or a shaded winter roof. Top it up from a power bank, a car charger or a laptop and carry on. The Type,C cable is included.
Mount the panel outside, the light under cover
The solar panel is aluminium,framed and built to live outdoors permanently. The batten itself is IP54, which handles damp and splashes, so fix it inside the shed, under the awning or beneath the eaves rather than fully exposed to driving rain. The frosted polycarbonate tube spreads light evenly across a wide beam instead of throwing glare.

Common questions
Can I mount the light inside and the panel outside?
Yes, that is the intended setup. The 5,metre cable exists so the panel can sit in full sun on the roof or a north,facing wall while the batten is fixed to the ceiling inside.
How long will it run on one charge?
Up to 12 hours, depending on the brightness setting and how much sun the panel collected that day. Short winter days and a partly shaded panel will reduce it.
Does it need an electrician?
No. There is no mains connection, so you can install it yourself.
Is it bright enough for a whole shed?
At 800 lumens it is comparable to a traditional 60W bulb. That is plenty for a single,bay shed, a tent, a coop or a caravan annexe. For a double garage or a long workshop, run two or more, or look at our mains,powered LED batten lights.
Will it work in winter?
Yes, though run time drops with shorter days and lower sun. Angle the panel north and keep it clear of shade to get the most out of it, and use USB,C to top up during long overcast stretches.
