A 1300mm run of solid ash, gently curved and hung on fine stainless wires, this pendant reads more like joinery than a light fitting. Each piece is hand finished, so the grain never repeats, and the canopy is cut from the same ash so the whole assembly sits together overhead as one object.

At 60mm across it stays visually quiet, which is what makes it work over a long dining table or a kitchen island where a bulky shade would block the sightline. The LED is integrated and rated at 24w, and the colour temperature is chosen at installation: 3000k for a warm room, 4000k for something more neutral, or 5000k where you want the light closer to daylight. It dims on a suitable LED friendly dimmer.

The 1800mm suspension wires can be shortened on site, so raked and standard ceilings are both straightforward. Ash is a pale, warm timber, so it sits comfortably against white walls, oak floors and stone benchtops instead of competing with them. If you are lighting a dining setting, run it on a dimmer and set 3000k; over a work surface, 4000k or 5000k will give you more contrast.
