This 12v strip pairs neutral 4000k light with an IP54 rating, so it handles splashes and steamy air where an indoor only strip would not. 60 LEDs per metre give an even line along the 8mm tape.
It suits bathroom shaving cabinets, laundry benches, kitchen splashback zones and covered outdoor spots like alfresco shelving. It is cut to the length you order and runs from a 12v driver.

Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so it needs a 12v driver of at least 29w, which in practice means a 30w driver. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less, each with its own feed. In damp or exposed spots, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 12v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and heat
We recommend mounting this strip in an aluminium profile. The aluminium draws heat away from the LEDs, protects the strip from knocks and moisture and extends its life, and a diffuser gives a softer line. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip.
IP54 rated for damp and sheltered areas, such as bathrooms and covered outdoor spaces. It is not designed for direct rain or immersion.
