Choosing a driver
Allow 19.2w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 96w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 116w, which in practice means a 150w driver. For longer installations, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and feed each run separately. The 30 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and heat
This strip must be installed on an aluminium heat dissipating surface to keep the warranty valid. At 19.2w per metre on a 4mm board it needs that heat path, so an aluminium profile at least 5mm wide inside is the best option, with a diffuser for a softer line.
