Choosing a driver
No maximum run length is published for this strip, so size the driver by load: allow 19.2w for every metre and add about 20% headroom. As a worked example, a 5 metre run draws 96w and needs a 24v driver of at least 116w, which in practice means a 150w driver. Split longer installs into separate runs, each with its own feed. The 10 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer. In damp or outdoor locations, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover.
Mounting and heat
This strip must be installed on an aluminium heat dissipating surface to keep the warranty valid, and an aluminium profile also protects it and extends its life. Choose a profile at least 11mm wide inside to suit the 10mm strip, add a diffuser for a softer line, and seal any cut ends to keep the IP54 protection.
IP54 rated, so it suits damp and sheltered locations such as laundries and bathrooms.
