Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 20 metre run draws 96w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 115w, which in practice means a 150w driver. A 10 metre run draws 48w and suits a 60w driver. The 30 metre roll is one reel and is longer than a single run, so plan your runs before cutting and give each one its own feed. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and heat
Fit this strip in an aluminium profile, as the warranty requires an aluminium heat dissipating surface. The aluminium carries heat away, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser evens out the light. Choose a profile at least 11mm wide inside to suit the 10mm strip.
