Choosing a driver
Allow 9.6w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. As an example, a 5 metre run draws 48w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 58w, which in practice means a 60w driver. Split longer installs into separate runs, each with its own feed. The 20 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. Outdoors or in wet areas, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and outdoor use
Neon flex does not need an aluminium profile. It is a side bend design, so it curves left and right across the mounting surface, which makes it ideal for tracing outlines, edges and lettering on a wall or ceiling. Fix it with mounting clips or a mounting channel and keep bends gentle so the internal strip is not stressed. Reseal every cut end with an end cap and silicone to keep the IP67 rating, and make any outdoor joins in a waterproof connector or junction box.
IP67 rated for indoor and outdoor installation.
