A pair of antler forms in hand cast poly resin, spreading 420mm wide and standing 460mm tall, hand painted so the finish varies piece to piece. No deer were involved. The natural tone keeps the surface texture readable, which is what stops resin looking like plastic.
It projects only 120mm from the wall on a 165mm by 120mm backplate, so despite the spread it stays out of the way in a hallway or beside a bed. Two E14 lamp holders take up to 42w each and globes are not included. Small clear candle globes keep the arms looking delicate, while opal candles soften the shadow the antlers throw on the wall behind, which is worth thinking about because that shadow is half the effect.
It suits a room that gives the eye somewhere to land: a hallway with a long blank wall, a bed head, or a rustic or alpine styled living space. It is mains wired, so an electrician mounts and connects it.
