Choosing a driver
The 12v DC version runs on low voltage and needs a 12v LED driver, installed by a licensed electrician. The 240v version wires straight to mains and does not need a driver.
Allow 30w for each inground light and add about 20% headroom. 2 inground lights draw 60w, so they need a 12v driver of at least 72w, which in practice means a 100w driver.

For bigger installs, split the lights across two or more drivers and place each driver close to its group. Long cable runs at low voltage lose brightness at the far end, so check your cable size with the voltage drop calculator below.
Outdoors, use a weatherproof IP66 12v driver and mount it above ground, clear of garden beds and pooling water.
Planning your install? Use our voltage drop calculator to choose the right cable size for your run and keep every light at full brightness.
