Scandi warmth, industrial shape
Scandustrial is the useful middle ground between two styles that usually cancel each other out. Take the broad shade and the honest metal of an industrial pendant, then warm it with real timber, and you get something that suits a modern Australian kitchen far better than either extreme does on its own. Pure industrial can read cold under a white ceiling. Pure Scandi can read soft over a hard stone benchtop.
The detail that does the most work here is the white inner. A black shade with a black inside swallows light and throws a narrow, dim pool. Lining the inside in white bounces the output back down, so a dark exterior finish costs you nothing in usable brightness on the bench.
At 480mm across this is the large size, which means it holds a space on its own over a small table or an entry. Because it comes in two sizes and two colours it is designed for clustering, so you can run three of the same at different heights, or mix the large and small over a long island.
The cord is 1800mm and shortened on site. E27 base, globe not included, and an LED or CFL globe suits it best. Installation by a licensed electrician.
