Bathroom lighting is one of the few places where colour temperature genuinely matters, because it is where people check how they look before leaving the house. As a rough guide, 3000K flatters warm tiles and timber vanities and makes the room feel calm. 4000K is neutral and the safest all round choice. 5000K is bright and clinical, and it is the one to pick if the bathroom has no window and doubles as the room where makeup gets done.
