One continuous 600mm ring, suspended on three fine stainless wires, with no visible shade and no glass to clean. The light comes from a COB LED built into the ring itself, so what you see from below is a clean circle of illumination rather than a fitting with a lamp inside it.
It puts out 1200 lumens from 24w, which is enough to carry a dining table or a modest living area on its own, and it dims on a suitable LED friendly dimmer if you want to pull it back for the evening. Colour temperature is switched at installation, so your electrician sets 3000k, 4000k or 5000k once and it stays there. Ask for 3000k over a dining table, 4000k in a hallway or entry.
Matt black or matt white, both flat finishes that avoid the glare a polished ring would throw. The 1500mm suspension can be shortened, so it hangs correctly over a table at around 750mm above the surface, or higher in a void. A ring this size wants a bit of clear air around it; it looks its best where nothing else is competing for the ceiling.
