An arc lamp scaled for a real room: 1950mm tall with the shade reaching 1200mm out from the base, so it can stand behind a sofa and drop light into the middle of a seating group with no table underneath it. That reach is the entire reason to buy an arc lamp instead of a standing one.

The weighted base is sized to counter that projection, which is what stops it tipping. It measures 320mm across and is heavy enough to want a considered position rather than one you shuffle around every week. The arc itself is fixed; the shade at the end is adjustable, so you aim the light rather than the frame.

The shade is clear acrylic, 300mm across with a 250mm opening at the front, so the globe is on show and worth choosing carefully. It takes one E27 to 42w, not included, and a decorative filament globe reads well through clear acrylic. The switch sits on the cord for foot operation, which is the right place for a lamp you turn on from the couch. Black or antique brass.
