A small brushed chrome lamp with a matt opal glass shade, and no switch to find. Touch anywhere on the metal and it turns on; touch it again and it goes off. In the dark, half asleep, that is a genuinely better experience than groping for a rocker switch on a cord.

At 250mm tall and 120mm across it is deliberately compact, sized for a bedside table that already has a book, a phone and a glass on it. The matt opal glass diffuses the light rather than letting the globe glare through, so it reads as a soft pool rather than a bright point, which is what you want beside a bed.

The touch mechanism is a simple on/off, not a dimmer, and it works with most globe types including energy efficient LEDs. It takes one E14 globe up to 42W, not included. Backed by a 1 year replacement guarantee.

This lamp features a touch sensitive switch, which is an ON/OFF TOUCH SWITCH.

Not dimmable
Purchased dimmable bulbs however these are not dimmable lamps, only on/off. Have emailed for clarification, but have had no response!?
