Choosing a driver

The 24v DC version runs on low voltage and needs a 24v LED driver, installed by a licensed electrician. The 240v version wires straight to mains and does not need a driver.

Allow 12w for each pillar light and add about 20% headroom. 4 pillar lights draw 48w, so they need a 24v driver of at least 58w, which in practice means a 60w driver.

24v driver size	Maximum pillar lights
30w	2
60w	4
100w	6
150w	10

For bigger installs, split the lights across two or more drivers and place each driver close to its group. Long cable runs at low voltage lose brightness at the far end, so check your cable size with our voltage drop calculator.

Outdoors, use a weatherproof IP66 24v driver and mount it above ground, clear of garden beds and pooling water.

Great pillar light
Was looking for something a little stylish and different from what’s typically available. This light is really well-made and looks fantastic at the front of our place. Couldn’t be happier. Quite bright too.
