Almost every house has one. A bare batten holder in a laundry, hallway or garage that nobody has ever got around to dealing with. This plate is the cheapest honest fix for it, and it takes minutes rather than an afternoon.
The plate is 220mm square in profile and sits only 70mm below the ceiling, so it stays out of the way in a passage or a low ceilinged room. Black gives you a defined disc against a white ceiling, white keeps it as close to invisible as a surface fitting gets. Either way it covers the mounting and turns an exposed lampholder into something that looks deliberate.
It is designed as a competent DIY change onto an existing B22 batten holder, and it takes a standard bayonet globe up to 60w. The globe is not included, so pick the colour temperature to suit the room. A cool white works well in a laundry or garage, a warm white is the better choice in a hallway.
