Description:
A narrow teardrop shade in painted metal, 200mm across at its widest and 380mm deep, hung on a cord that gives an overall length of 1850mm. The shape is what does the work here. A teardrop tapers into the lampholder instead of meeting it square, so the fitting reads as one continuous line from ceiling to opening.
Inside, the shade is finished in gold. A gold inner does something a white inner cannot: it warms the light on the way out, so even a neutral globe lands on the surface below with a softer, more flattering tone. That is why this shape ends up over bedside tables so often, and why it also suits a reading corner or a hallway console.
Because it is compact rather than wide, it repeats well. Hung in a row of three over a bench it gives you defined pools of light without a heavy line of shades at eye level. Hung in a cluster at staggered heights it fills a stairwell void neatly.
The outer finish is black or white, and the suspension cord is supplied. The lampholder is a standard E27, LED and CFL ready. Globes are not included, and installation is a licensed electrician job.
