RGBW LED strip, 16w per metre, colour plus white
Red, green and blue LEDs sit alongside a separate white channel on this strip, so one installation can shift between vivid colour and a clean, usable white. It suits entertainment areas, bars, feature ceilings and shopfronts where the lighting needs to set a mood one night and simply light the room the next.
Choose 3000k warm white or 5000k daylight white for the white channel. With 16w per metre on tap it has the output for coves and bulkheads as well as accent work.

Choosing a driver and controller
Allow 16w for every metre and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 80w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 96w, which in practice means a 100w driver. Your RGBW controller must also be rated for the full load of the run. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less, each with its own feed. Outdoors or in damp areas, use a weatherproof driver and controller or keep them under cover.
Mounting and heat
Mount the strip on an aluminium profile or heat sink. The aluminium draws heat away from the LEDs, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser blends the colours into a single even line.
IP54 rated for damp and sheltered areas. Keep it out of direct rain and standing water.
