Waterproof RGBW LED strip, 16w per metre, IP67
This fully sealed strip combines RGB colour with a dedicated white channel, so outdoor spaces can glow in any colour for entertaining and still have proper white light when you need it. It is a strong fit for pool surrounds, outdoor bars, alfresco ceilings, facades and garden features.
IP67 sealing protects it from rain and splashes, and the white channel comes in warm 3000k or crisp 5000k. At 16w per metre it has enough output to light an outdoor area, not just decorate it.

Choosing a driver and controller
Allow 16w for every metre and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 80w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 96w, which in practice means a 100w driver. Your RGBW controller must also be rated for the full load of the run. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less, each with its own feed. Outdoors or in damp areas, use a weatherproof driver and controller or keep them under cover.
Mounting and heat
Mount the strip on an aluminium profile or heat sink to draw heat away from the LEDs, protect it and extend its life. Choose a profile at least 13mm wide inside to suit the 12mm strip. Reseal every cut end with an end cap and silicone to keep the IP67 rating, and make any outdoor joins in a waterproof connector or junction box.
IP67 rated for outdoor use.
