Five frosted glass shades spread across 610mm gives you the presence of a chandelier without the glare of one. Because each shade is frosted rather than clear, the light arrives soft and even and you can sit under it at a dining table without a row of bright filaments in your peripheral vision.
It is a genuinely classic shape, and it belongs over a dining table, in an entry with some ceiling height, or in a formal lounge. At 610mm across it needs a table of reasonable size beneath it, and roughly a metre of clearance around it so the shades are not crowded by a wall or a cabinet.
