A bollard earns its place along a path, a driveway edge or a garden bed, where you want the light down at ankle height doing something useful rather than glaring back at you from above. This one is deliberately plain: a graphite cylinder, 120mm across, on a wider flanged base.
That flange is the practical detail. It is flat, so the bollard fixes straight down onto concrete, pavers, decking or a brick edge without needing a spike, a footing or any digging. If you are adding light to a path that already exists, this is much the easier route.
An IP44 rating covers it against splashing water from any direction, which is what an exposed garden position actually demands.
It takes a single E27 globe, not included, up to 20 watts on 240v. Please read the caution below carefully, because this fitting is designed for compact fluorescent lamps only and fitting another lamp type can damage it. Installation by a licensed electrician is required.
